Clients

Our clients have played a major part in the development of UniSmart from day one. Victoria University, in New Zealand's capital city of Wellington, was the first university in the world to embrace our concept of a creative, informational induction lecture for first year students.

From this small beginning in 1999, the programme - then called 'Head Start', was booked by every university in New Zealand the following year.

By 2001 we had branched into Australia and the United Kingdom, although with only a couple of events in each, the enthusiasm and feedback from key staff at these innovative universities helped to create a more content rich, researched and sharper lecture. Demand quickly created the need to develop systems for training more presenters. This was too big for one person - even for John Davey, the original presenter.

As UniSmart has grown, we have reached further afield; a few events to kick start in the USA and more recently (2010) Canada.

We are grateful to the incredible people who work at the front line of our client universities. They have informed us, reviewed us and supported our vision to make the first year experience and the transition to university life so much easier.

So many of these we call friends.

We welcome new partners to the UniSmart family and look forward to working alongside you in the future.
