How we tailor the subject to suit.
By requesting information from you about the audience demographic, we will include material that is relevant and inclusive to different groups. For example -
International students. Students who are far from home and their usual support systems need encouragement to engage with other students. By naming feelings that they may well be experiencing, they feel acknowledged and valued.
Res/Non Res. It can be a lot harder for day students to make friends if they have to run for a bus straight after lectures, or if they just don't have time outside lectures to stay and be social. Conversely, a quiet student living in Halls may find a boisterous, party atmosphere overwhelming and subsequently become lonely and withdrawn.
