How we tailor the subject to suit.

  • By requesting information about the services available at your university, we include material that is relevant and specific. These usually bone dry subjects are injected with humour and theatre tactics to make them so much easier to swallow.

  • Counselling demystified. Students feel empowered to talk to a counsellor once they understand that they aren't the only one feeling troubled and that it helps to talk about it. We positively promote counsellors as non-judgemental and confidential. Residential students are also encouraged to talk to their R.A. or mentor.

  • Money is a major concern for many students. They will be directed to specific services for budgeting advice, if available. Scholarships and emergency grants are also included.

  • Health. Registering with the health service before you get sick and telling someone when they are unwell. In the case of a serious epidemic, such as the recent Swine Flu, UniSmart is the best way to give a consistent message to large groups.

UniSmart is a truly consummate show by talented professionals of integrity who are passionate about the success and impact on lives of our residents. Definitely a 5 star rating: Highly recommended.

I was very impressed that he (the presenter) mentioned depression/stress etc. It is so important that people are open about it and thereby help break down the stigma and also that people are not alone.
