Todays young people are arguably under more pressure than ever before. UniSmart surveys show that the top five concerns for new first year students include Money, Making Friends and Passing Exams in 3 different countries. In the UK concern over "Having Support" has risen from being 13th biggest concern(2009) to 5th biggest concern (2010) in just one year.
How UniSmart makes a difference
Telling it like it is
The UniSmart style of communication, which we call "Performance Communication" is readily accessible to young adults. It pulls no punches, does not patronise the audience and gives the students the important information they so desperately need as they make the often huge transition away from home and into University life. One of the most common comments from staff or older students heard is "I wish I'd had something like that when I started at University!"
What a relief!
Initially many first year students feel unsure whether anyone really cares about them or not. Following UniSmart they are left in no doubt at all that they are at an institution that is committed to their ongoing welfare.
